Disney World Ride Seating Guide (2025): How Many Fit in Each Ride
Planning Disney with little kids can feel like a lot to figure out. When you’re the only adult, it’s not just about height requirements, it’s about who can actually sit where. Can both kids fit with you? Can one sit up front alone? These are the questions that can make or break a park day when you’re outnumbered.
That’s why I put together this Disney World Ride Seating Guide. I asked Cast Members at every single attraction how seating really works: how many people fit in each vehicle, when lap sitters are allowed, and what Disney’s “under 7” rule means in real life. (In short: any child under 7 has to ride with someone age 14 or older sitting right next to them.)
The guide is organized by park—Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom—and lists each ride’s height requirement, seating capacity, lap-sitting rules, and notes for solo parents. It’s meant to help you plan ahead so you know which rides you can all do together, which ones might need to wait, and where your kids might sit on their own or in the row ahead.
Some attractions, like Dumbo or “it’s a small world,” are super flexible and allow one adult with two kids. Others, like The Barnstormer or Tomorrowland Speedway, require an adult beside each child under 7, so they’ll have to wait until everyone’s a little older.
The biggest takeaway? When you know the seating setup before you go, you can skip the stress at the loading zone and focus on having fun. Even if a few rides are off-limits for now, there are plenty where you can sit together, laugh, and make those core memories without the surprises.
