What are your travel specialties or areas of expertise?
Romance travel, family travel, Alaska, Europe, River and ocean cruises, Caribbean
What inspired you to become a travel advisor?
I've always loved maps, from a young age. I could stare at a map or a globe, getting lost in wonder of what others places hold. This love transformed into a love of traveling, and helping others realize their dreams of travel adventures.
What is your most popular travel destination among clients?
It fluctuates, but currently it's Europe and Alaska. Before covid, it was all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean.
What’s a valuable planning tip for you?
Plan around energy, not just the itinerary.
That means scheduling the most important activity of the day for the morning (when everyone’s fresh), leaving afternoons flexible for downtime, and building in “buffer” time for snacks, bathroom breaks, and the inevitable shoe-tying marathon. Families who do this avoid the “crash and burn” at 3 p.m. and actually enjoy their trips more.
What is one website, platform, database, or other tech tool you consistently use when planning family travel?
TravelJoy. I use it to craft my itineraries, and keep things organized. I can't live without it.
