FTA Advisor Spotlight: Hunter Keeling – Travel With Hunter

FTA-HunterKeeling-Web1

Hunter Keeling works to make vacation planning simple, seamless, and stress-free. As a mom herself, she understands the unique challenges of juggling busy schedules, managing family needs, and still finding time for those much-needed escapes. That’s why she’s built her business around serving busy moms who love to travel but feel overwhelmed by the planning process.

What are your travel specialties or areas of expertise?

Cruises, All Inclusive Resorts, Hawaii, and select European Countries.

What inspired you to become a travel advisor?

I became a travel advisor because I saw firsthand how exhausting and overwhelming planning a vacation can be—especially for moms who are already carrying the mental load of everyone around them. I’m a mom myself, and I know what it’s like to be the default planner, the researcher, the one everyone relies on to ‘make it happen.’ I realized that travel planning shouldn't add to someone's stress—it should relieve it.

So I took my love for travel, my obsession with the details, and my background in high-pressure environments (as a nurse!) and turned it into a concierge service for families who need someone they can trust to handle it all. I don’t just book trips—I bring peace of mind, clarity, and joy back to the process. That’s what inspired me, and that’s what keeps me going.

What is your most popular travel destination among clients?

Disney Cruises, Hawaii, Mexico.

What’s the most valuable tip or trick someone has shared with you that makes planning family travel easier?

Get the client on the phone. Always. You cannot capture the nuance of a family’s needs—food allergies, nap schedules, family dynamics, hidden stressors—in a form or email. One call tells me more than ten back and forth emails ever could. It allows me to ask the right questions, read between the lines, and guide them toward what they actually need, not just what they think they want. That’s the difference between a basic trip and a custom experience that works for everyone in the family.

What is one website, platform, database, or other tech tool you consistently use when planning family travel, and what do you use it for?

TravelJoy — proposals, email automation, notes, files, and itineraries.
