Extraordinary Britain is a UK based DMC specializing in bespoke luxury trips for families. It operates throughout the UK and Ireland as well as continental Eurostar destinations and the Normandy beaches.
A family-run business, it was originally set up by Jane McCrum after many years working as a London guide. Her son Philip took over the company in recent years, growing the team from five to fifteen strong, all while preserving its family ethos. Last year, they proudly celebrated their 25th anniversary.
Over its 25 years in business, the company has built an unprecedented network of partners and suppliers, enabling EB to open doors the length and breadth of the country and deliver an unparalleled range of wonderful experiences and activities for children and families. This allows them to tailor each trip to each client’s specific needs, all the while ensuring that the children are kept engaged, entertained and inspired. So, whether the children are ardent dinosaur fans, creative geniuses, or aspiring spies, EB has the guides who can bring these worlds to life. And they work with all age groups and all sizes of families, including large multigenerational groups.
Of course, Extraordinary Britain regularly reviews and updates its offers to families, whether this is through regular visits to hotels to understand their room configurations and check standards for families or developing new tours and experiences. This entails the hardship of taking part in biscuit decorating workshops and scavenger hunts through museums.
The thoughtful and considered approach to families is obvious from the first contact with Extraordinary Britain. For FTA advisors, they are always happy to provide advice and support as the experts on the ground. Every trip will be 100% tailor-made by a dedicated member of the Trip Design team and can be white labelled should you wish.
Communication is paramount and the Operations team is in regular contact with clients whilst they are on the ground, via WhatsApp.
